Arava

The mitzvah is preformed with two willow branches.

The stem of the branch should be red.

The stem of the branches must be at least 11 inches long.

The leaves should not be shaped round but rather should be elongated.
The leaves edge should be serrated, not smooth.

The branch should be kept as fresh as possible. In order to keep the branches fresh it is recommended to put them in a tin foil.
