Etrog

Its color should be turning yellow rather than green.

It should weigh at least 0.13 pounds.

If the peel is punctured through in any spot, or if it lacks any of its inner skin the etrog is pasul (non kosher).

The peel should be uncracked, dry or peeled.

The upper part of the esrog has to be dot less.

The preferable shape is for the etrog to be like a tower - wider at the bottom and narrow at the top.

If the etrog grew with a protruding stem (called a pitom or pitam), it mustnt be broken off.
